An Origin of a Product Recognized by Customers

The nature of business lies in supply and demand. Therefore, only the supply truly meeting the demand of the customers will be recognized by the customers. So the key to successful survival of a company is whether the customers' demand can be better satisfied. Everyone in the company from management to employees should be keenly aware of that.

However, meeting the demand of a customer does not mean meeting the demand of an industry!

As SEEKRUN is still young who has joined the e-bike industry not long before, we are making continuous exploration to design a product in meeting the demand of this industry.

We have taken earnest and meticulous steps from systematic analysis of the whole industry and building SEEKRUN product line to market investigation and product definition. From numerous similar competing products, we analyzed and extracted all the function items to check, discuss, simulate and finally determine the PRD that we have the greatest consensus.

To meet the demand of B-end (business) clients, we visited various OEMs and exchanged with their staff at different posts. For example, during the visit we found severe problems in display instrument product stocking and aftersales services. As traditional display instruments were all integrated, that meant remote, cables and the main part were inseparable. So the demand of different e-bikes for different cable length could not be fully satisfied. This led to increasing SKUs (stock keeping units) on the client side and more difficulty in management. After SEEKRUN identified this pain point, it set strict requirement for display instrument design, i. e. the instruments must be modularized and universal in use. So the remote, cables and main parts are now interchangeable and can be shared by our designed products. In this way, we both solved relevant problems on the client side and we had more convenience in our own stocking.

The end-users of e-bikes are Consumers (C-end clients). While considering our B-end clients, we have to care for the demand points of C-end clients by launching the UI and the logic that suit better for them. In addition, in order to revive the color and light sensation of the color screen meter, we phased out the traditional fitting with acrylic plastics and adopted OCR fitting with aluminosilicate glass for the surface. With the rigidity of 6H and plus, the aluminosilicate glass is not only wearproof and able to bring out the true color of the color screen to the most extent.

Besides, since in actual cases, customers use the product both in daytime and at night, we make a special design of backlight for the remote, so that each button is visible but not dazzling. Introduction of this function was not easy for it led to a more complicated structure and more cost, but it brought convenience to the users. This demonstrates SEEKRUN's persistent pursuit of excellence.

As far as we know, electronic products are vulnerable to the environment, especially the impact of moisture and vapor, so it's limited in life. Usually, the waterproof rate of the display instruments in the market is not more than X6. To avoid vapor intrusion, we optimized the structure and took the lead in applying the fitting process for mobiles together with hot melt adhesive. In this way, we improved the water resistance of the product up to X7. Now we are not worried at all about water penetration problem since our instrument can be normally used even if it is put 1 meter under water.

We will continue to follow the dynamics of the market to understand more the customers' demand. Our future display instrument design will be more vibrant and with more role definitions, so as to meet the purpose of use of different user groups.
